Eric Adams cruises to victory as 110th mayor of New York City

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams defeated Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa by 66 – 23 percent to become the 110th mayor of New York City, according to unofficial results from the New York City Board of Elections.

With 98 percent of ballot scanners reporting, Adams won 676,481 votes compared to Sliwa’s 284,517.

Adams, a former NYPD captain and state senator, will take office on Jan. 1, 2022.
