December 29, 2021 – Plattsburgh, NY – Governor Kathy Hochul thanks workers at Clinton Community College vaccination site and holds a press conference regarding COVID-19.

Gov. Kathy Hochul will deliver the 2022 State of the State Address at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

Because of the recent rise in COVID cases, Hochul will deliver her speech to a limited, socially distant group.

A livestream will be available at www.governor.ny.gov and members of the public are encouraged to tune in.

This is Hochul’s first State of the State Address since stepping in as governor following the resignation of Andrew Cuomo in August 2021.

Hochul on Monday announced a plan to institute term limits for the governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and comptroller as the first proposal of the 2022 State of the State.

The governor will also propose a ban on outside income for statewide elected officials while serving in office.
