An American Flag Walk was organized in New Paltz, NY to raise awareness for a GoFundMe page to paint a mural on the brick wall of La Bella Pizza Bistro’s building. The intention was to celebrate the flag with no political affiliation, but it was met with counter demonstrators. One protester argued “…it is ignorant to claim that the flag can be anything but political at a time like this.”
